Tae'rifc started her life as Chante' Thomas in Virginia on May 11,1979. At a young age she was deeply influenced by music from her parents who played records and 45's daily and an Aunt (Linda  "Wizards On Wheels") who was a prominent and well known skater all throughout  Philadelphia. While she awed at her aunts skating talent it was the music that brought Tae'rific excitement. At the age of 10 years old Tae'rific was playing the guitar and piano at her Catholic School and started writing songs for herself, her younger brother and his friends. With a father active in the Navy Tae'rific was afforded the opportunity to travel to different states which lead to different genres of music. After 17 years in Philadelphia Tae'rific and her family (mom, dad and 2 brothers) moved to Maryland where Baltimore Club and D.C. Go-Go were the music's main stream. Shortly after relocating Tae'rific's older brother became a local DJ (DJ ELS) in Maryland and this opened the "Spirit Box" to her music world. She began writing like crazy and the rhymes just kept coming as easy as breathing. Tae'rific decided it was time to make a name for herself and started a group “Da Heatas” which consisted of Tae'rific, her younger brother Marvelous#1, J Dutch (Dutch Masterz) and Legacy (LDot). With the slogan STM (“Still Tryna Makeit”) Da Heatas started to produce their own music with original street life lyrics and hardcore instrumentals. The streets were intrigued by the sound that Da Heatas produced and their music career began taking off, Tae'rific was plagued with personal issues. At this time Tae'rific was coming into her own identity and coming out as a Lesbian. Tae'rific parents weren't completely understanding of her decision coming from a Catholic background they didn't agree with her lifestyle and she was forced to fend for herself which lead her to the streets and selling drugs. Da Heatas lifestyle was more real than ever for now it was her reality. After years of mix tapes and street life Tae'rific and Ldot decided to start their own label “Million Dollar Music” and she chose music over the streets. Tae'rific started doing shows with member Dutch Masterz all over Maryland before she moved to VA to make an attempt in getting more then a local buzz. During her stay in Virginia Tae'rific met and fell in love with IntellectualRed a Singer/Songwriter/Spoken Word native from Boston, Mass. From the beginning the chemistry sparked and the music came natural. During that time Tae'rific started to lean toward the production side of the industry. So after multiple collaborations, Tae’Rific was introduced to IntellectualRed’s brother JustKC, a Rapper/Producer New York native. The saying “Great Minds think Alike” is not enough to describe the musical genius that was instantaneously released by them together. Needless to say, not to long after their meeting Tae'rific and JustKC began building a Production label, “Raw Remedy Entertainment” where they produce local talents and constructed New Waved instrumentals. As an Artist/Producer Tae'rific's philosophical urban edgy sound and style is attacking the HipHop scene and bringing originality back.
